Winter is the SECRET SEASON in the Lakes Region – because not everyone knows its quiet charms. But blessed are those who have enjoyed a day of skiing, snowboarding or tubing at Gunstock, and those who have tasted the thrill of gliding across the frozen waters of Squam Lake. Content are those who have augured through Winnipesaukee to drop a line in the water below or hiked up one of the Ossipee Mountains. Even better may be enjoying a quiet dinner at a Wolfeboro restaurant overlooking the icy waters, listening to a storyteller spin a yarn at the Corner House Inn in Sandwich, or hearing the One Voice Ministries Christmas Concert.  Winter is the time when we listen, and get to know ourselves a little better.
